I am born in Korea and from South Korea.
Korea is an East Asian territory that is divided into North Korea and South
Korea. We have our language and alphabets. We are called our alphabet to Hangul. It created by King Sejong the Great in the 14th
century. So, most of Koreans are using this alphabet and speaking in Korean. The
capital of Korea is Seoul. A lot of people are living around that city because
many traffics and buildings are concentrated. Also, in the central of Seoul we
can see old palaces which is king and queen were lived a long time ago and
streets. Some streets are unique because those streets have old buildings and
use Hangul signs, not use any other language. So many tourists visit this city.
I was
lived in Korea until 10th grade. When I was 9th grade I
was interested in fine art and went to art school. My parents supported me and
offered everything that I need. However, when I entered high school in Korea (Korea
high school course is three years.) my mother and aunt wanted to make my
brother and me learn more English. But, my mother didn’t finish her job and my
father quit the job for us and we went to immigration. My mother came later
than us.
I am
immigrant now. When I came in the U.S., everything was not familiar to me
because everything was different from Korea, people, language, life style, and
every street. Especially language was really difficult to me .So, when I had
homework I spent lots of time and when I talk with fiends I needed a great
courage. But, nowadays I am having fun time with my new friends. Even though I
don’t adapt a lot and I’m still learning English, I’m trying to study SAT and
draw picture to go to good university and get a good job.
