Framed Found Poem

Who Understands Civil Obedience?

Who understands civil obedience?
The government makes break us off from the human rights,
so we lived without human rights.
We start to know discrimination by the government and white people.
We wanted to break some laws.
This is our certainly a legitimate concern.
Though the government dose not want to understand us.

Who understands civil obedience?
We start to express our thoughts, emotions, and what we want.
We try to support to nonviolence.
We want to obtain rights for our posterity.
Though the government thinks it is certainly impetuous happen,
and they are finding a expectation to make stop our protest.

Who understands civil obedience?
We lose rights as citizens.
We are also American and born in here.
We have a right for living as a American.
Though the government and some people don't accept that we are American.

Why are we fighting for this simple problem?

"Story of An Hour" by Kate Chopin

The American author, Kate Chopin grew up in the time of the battle for women’s rights. She was raised in a culture where many people were holding on to society and value the way they were, and yet many others were feeling there was need for change. Kate wrote stories about women in the future. In the Story of an hour it expresses through the main character, Louise Mallard. In the end of this story, the equilibrium of Louise Mallard’s situation is what survives: Brently mallard’s return signals the return of her oppressive condition and ensures that Louise will experience no more than a momentary change her situation.

When Louise Mallard goes to her room, she cries to see a window “free!, Body and soul free!”. It means she was gotten a lot of oppression from Brently so she thinks she can enjoy her freedom to the fullest without her husband. Her sister, Josephin and Brently’s friend, Richard think she may be anxious and gloomy of his death, however, she is not grieve, she is pleased  of that telegram.

Louise’s status as “wife” is reestablished at once in the story’s language and in Louise’s life when Brently comes in “view of his wife”. Before Louise heard a telegram that Brently is dead by accident, everything was focused on her husband and lived around his life. But, when she hears news from her sister, she thinks she can way out of her husband’s oppression, however, Brently comes back to home while Louise enjoys her short-freedom. Then all of oppression also comes back with him. Also, Louise’s status as “wife” is also came back to her.

Brently Mallard had never looked save with love upon her. He disregarded Louise’s happiness. Brently had all hegemony. Even though, Louise loves him. When she goes to her room, even he was kind of aggressive to Louise, she had loved him – sometimes. It means at that time there was patriarchal system in order to most of men were above women. Louise was still oppressed from Brently because he might have patriarchal in his mind. It would have disturbed relationship between Louise and Brently.

Louise was still looked upon as needing the protection and support of her husband. She has never enjoyed her freedom and received her husband’s love. In this story Louise is eager for free because she has lots of oppression from Brently.

Many of Kate Chopin’s female characters seek freedom from the conventional restraints of society, including marriage. Louise is also one of female character of shows women image which is get oppression from men.

Autobiography

I am born in Korea and from South Korea. Korea is an East Asian territory that is divided into North Korea and South Korea. We have our language and alphabets. We are called our alphabet to Hangul. It created by King Sejong the Great in the 14th century. So, most of Koreans are using this alphabet and speaking in Korean. The capital of Korea is Seoul. A lot of people are living around that city because many traffics and buildings are concentrated. Also, in the central of Seoul we can see old palaces which is king and queen were lived a long time ago and streets. Some streets are unique because those streets have old buildings and use Hangul signs, not use any other language. So many tourists visit this city.

I was lived in Korea until 10th grade. When I was 9th grade I was interested in fine art and went to art school. My parents supported me and offered everything that I need. However, when I entered high school in Korea (Korea high school course is three years.) my mother and aunt wanted to make my brother and me learn more English. But, my mother didn’t finish her job and my father quit the job for us and we went to immigration. My mother came later than us.

I am immigrant now. When I came in the U.S., everything was not familiar to me because everything was different from Korea, people, language, life style, and every street. Especially language was really difficult to me .So, when I had homework I spent lots of time and when I talk with fiends I needed a great courage. But, nowadays I am having fun time with my new friends. Even though I don’t adapt a lot and I’m still learning English, I’m trying to study SAT and draw picture to go to good university and get a good job.

"What Is An Amercan?" essay

What is an American?

The millions of people migrate into United States of American in order to achieve their dream and earn the name of an American. Many people leave their homeland to start a new life. When people come to United States, they have American dream. They dream of a glamorous life such as have great and big house. According to what is an American of de Crevecouer, He was an Englishman and also migrated to America from England. When he came to the United States, there was no principle for whom they toil, starve, and bleed. The America was opportunity to them

Many people come to America for their own reasons as a Crevecouer, mostly for a better life. In Europe, they didn’t have fertile ground to grow grains and fruit. So, some people had to starve and poor. However, in the America, they have good grounds to grow any kinds of grains and fruits. America was a great country to people.

Who is a real American? Long time ago, many European people came to America. Also, other countries people came to achieve their dream. Who is real American is not so important in this country. The United States is filled with many types of Americans that do not necessarily have to be from the United States of America.

Manu people that come from foreign location sacrifice many things in order to become an America. According to a book, Of Battles & Angels by Mawi, that author was lived in Sudan. At that time, there was big civil war between Ethiopia and Eritrea. His family was having difficult time in their own country. Then, they decided to migrate to United States from Africa. And, now He is an American. Therefore, anyone can be an American even they are from another country.

There are many reasons why immigrants want to immigrate to America. For example, in de Crevecoeur’s writing of “What is an American?”, he says that a man’s “country is now that which gives him land, bread, protection, and consequence”. This shows that the citizens should not be the ones protecting the country at all times but, the country should citizen is obligated to protect his country. Everyone that lives in America will feel like their lives have been completed if they become true Americans.

I think the true American is not only born in the United States. Even though, people ate from other countries, if they ate satisfied their life in U.S., they ate the true American. I also migrated to United States from Korea. I am so proud of I am in America and glad to experience another culture. And I hope I achieve my goals and get the opportunity in the United States. That is why I migrate to America.
