Final Exam civil disobedient

Civil Disobedience

civil disobedience is often occurring in our life. What makes people start to these disobedience in our life. According to "On Civil Disobedience: An Interview with Howard Zinn" by Chian Aksan and Jon Bailes, Howard Zinn said that our problem is civil obedience, not civil disobedience, since when people don't recognize it as injustice, or when they have been taught to respect and trust- the president, their minister, even their family. At Those time, people just accept those injustice, however, they still don't know whether it's right, or not. i think the most reason that they still don't recognize is that they dont't care about  any problems. some people don't want to participate to vary something wrong because sometimes that makes them get into the problems. SO it's the important to attempt to change some injustice. Besides, Zinn has said "If you study the actual workings of the justice system over the course of our history, it becomes clear that if favors the rich over the poor, the white over the black, the orthodox over the radical." We have been so many injustice in our history. Therefore, we should study of these problems and attempt to change.

In our history, there was famous people: Henry David, Thoreau, Mohandas Gandhi, and Martin Luther King Jr. Theyare famous people as human right activitists. Thoreau was refused to pay the tax because he was opposed to the U.S. war with Mexico, which he believed was an excuse to expand America's slaveholding territory. So, he was arrested because he was still refused on principle to pay a tax to the state. At that time, that happen was the inspiration for the essay "Resistance to Civil Government".This essay shows that Thoreau merely wanted to withdraw from life. In his essay "Resistance to civil Government", he said "Is a democracy, such as we know it, the last improvement possible in the government? Is it not possible to take a step further toward recognizing and organizing the right of man? Ther will be nver be a really free and enlightned State, until the State comes to tecognize the individual as a higher and independent power.......". If the government is not going to accept people's statements.

Showing their unfair and starting civil disobedience one not shame because it would be the best way to change something wrong. Also, the govenrment and the other organizations can improve their problems through protesting. I agree Zinn's statement, which is "Our problem is Civil ovedience, not civil disobedience." Because if we knew something are very wrong and just obey those laws, our society would not have any freedom and any free to speak their opinions. In addition, we have to study and know about something wrong and attempt to change. So, Civil Disobedience sometimes can be best way to our society, and it's not wrong situation.
